BATTAGRAM: Regional Police Officer RPO Nasir Mahmood Satti visited the Battagram district here on Tuesday, to address the rising concerns of law and order in the area. During his visit, he instructed the Battagram police to form teams and take action against proclaimed offenders, drug peddlers, and other lawbreakers.
The RPO’s visit came after locals highlighted the surge in theft cases, rise in consumption of drugs, and other law and order issues during a commissioner’s open public meeting. The locals expressed their frustration and concern over the lack of safety and security in the district, stating that their lives and properties were not secure.
RPO Nasir Mahmood Satti visited the Battagram police lines hold a police darbar and meeting. The meeting focused on the overall law and order situation in the district. DPO Muhammad Ayaz provided a briefing on the occasion, highlighting the current challenges and concerns in the area.

Satti, emphasized the need for the police to take a strong stance against criminal elements. He instructed the police to organize search and strike operations, crack down on drug peddlers, and deal firmly with land grabbers, timber mafia, and corrupt police officials.
The RPO also stressed the importance of close liaison with other departments and joint action against crime. He instructed the traffic police to address traffic-related issues promptly and ensure that CCTV cameras are linked with the police control room.
During a police darbar, Satti evaluated the performance of police officials and assured them that promotions would be finalized soon. He emphasized the police department’s commitment to the welfare of personnel and their families, as well as the importance of providing convenience and respect to the public.
Satti also reminded the police officials of their legacy of sacrificing their lives to protect the people. He instructed them to remain vigilant and ensure foolproof security for tourists, while also providing them with ease of commute.
The RPO’s visit and instructions are a welcome step towards addressing the law and order concerns in the Battagram district. The police department’s commitment to taking action against criminal elements and providing convenience and respect to the public is a positive development. However, it remains to be seen how effectively the police department will implement these instructions and address the concerns of the locals.
